Assessing Individuals Within a Group

Teachers can use a checklist to assess individuals as they work in the group. The teacher has a checklist for each individual student in the class. During the activity phase of classroom instruction, the teacher wanders around the class with checklist in hand assessing students as they work. This form can be used to check effort and to compare effort at different times throughout the class. This can be done by the teacher and the student himself/herself.
